Legislative Priorities

The mission of REAP is two-fold:

  1. Guide state and national actions that affect economic development and job creation in South Central Kansas.
  2. Adopt joint actions among member governments that enhance the regional economy.

Each legislative session, REAP adopts Legislative and Policy Priorities.  Details of the current priorities can be viewed here.

REAP is currently involved in several initiatives, including the Brookings Global Cities Exchange Program (GCX) which will produce a regional export plan for South Central Kansas; The Governor’s 50 Year Vision for the Future of Water in Kansas; and Kansas Local Workforce Investment Areas I and IV.   Details of these initiatives can be viewed here.
