It was a great day of regional connection and workforce learning at Textron Aviation!
Today, Regional Economic Area Partnership (REAP) of South Central Kansas members and members of the South Central Kansas Legislative Delegation had the opportunity to visit the Textron Aviation Career & Learning Center and learn more about the innovative work underway to develop and strengthen our region’s aviation workforce.
We heard about Textron Aviation’s investment in talent development — from high school and college internships and registered apprenticeships to SkillBridge programs, adult learning opportunities, and pathways designed to connect people with careers in aviation.
A big thank you to Textron Aviation for hosting us, and especially to Michele Gifford, SHRM-SCP and Rachel Douglass for welcoming our group and sharing the important work happening at the Career & Learning Center.
Bringing together employers, elected leaders, and communities for conversations like these is exactly what regional collaboration is all about.
